اطلقت شبكة أطباء السودان نداء إنساني عاجل لما تتعرض له مدينة الفاشر بولاية شمال دارفور من حصار مطبق أدى إلى تدهور الأوضاع المعيشية والصحية بشكل كارثي، حيث بلغت مستويات الجوع المرحلة الثالثة (الطوارئ) بحسب التصنيفات الدولية لانعدام الأمن الغذائي ما يعرض آلاف الأطفال والنساء إلى خطر الموت بالجوع.
تؤكد الشبكة بأن آلاف الأسر في الفاشر تعاني من نقص حاد في الغذاء والدواء والمياه الصالحة للشرب، في ظل انعدام انقطاع الإمداد نتيجة للحصار ومنع دخول المساعدات الإنسانية من قبل الدعم السريع، ما يجعل حياة المدنيين، وخاصة الأطفال وكبار السن، تحت خطر المجاعة والأوبئة.
تناشد شبكة أطباء السودان السلطات المحلية والمنظمات الدولية والجهات الإنسانية والضمير العالمي للتدخل الفوري والعاجل من أجل فتح ممرات آمنة لإدخال المساعدات وتوفير الغذاء والدواء والمياه ورفع الحصار عن المدينة المنكوبة فمدينة الفاشر تستغيث الجميع فهل من مجيب؟
Sudan Doctors Network: We Issue an Urgent Call to Local Authorities and International Organizations to Save El Fasher as Hunger Reaches Phase 3
The Sudan Doctors Network issues an urgent humanitarian appeal regarding the dire situation in the city of El Fasher in North Darfur State, which is under a complete siege that has led to a catastrophic deterioration in living and health conditions. Hunger levels have reached Phase 3 (Emergency) according to international classifications of food insecurity, putting thousands of children and women at risk of dying from starvation.
The network confirms that thousands of families in El Fasher are suffering from a severe shortage of food, medicine, and clean drinking water, amidst a total disruption in supply due to the siege and the prevention of humanitarian aid by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). This places civilians—especially children and the elderly—at risk of famine and disease outbreaks.
The Sudan Doctors Network appeals to local authorities, international organizations, humanitarian agencies, and the global conscience to urgently intervene to open safe corridors for the delivery of aid, and to provide food, medicine, and water, and to lift the siege on the afflicted city.
El Fasher is crying out for help—will anyone answer the call?
